Let's honor the memories of Eyal, Gilad and Naftali.

Let’s all do a little good to combat the bad in this world.

Yesterday, three kidnapped teenage boys, Eyal Yifrach, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Frenkel, 16, were found dead in a field after being murdered in Israel – just because they were Jewish.

The only thing we, as individuals, can do is try and make this world a slightly better place, in memory of the boys who won’t come home and in honor of their families who will live with this scar for the rest of their lives.

Please join this group and pledge that for the duration of the boys’ shiva (the seven days of mourning, starting from the day of their funerals), every time you go to the supermarket donate three food items to the needy – one for each boy. Many supermarkets have donation bins at the exits. Many other non-profit organizations exist that will distribute the food as well.

If you enjoy a meal out, consider buying an extra meal to give to someone outside who looks hungry.

Hopefully donation bins around the world will be flowing with food this week, as a testament to our ability as human beings to channel our fear, anger, and hurt into good deeds that can better people’s lives.

Feel free to leave a note on the Facebook page throughout the week to let us all know that you have been shopping and have donated three (or more, of course) items. Hopefully the families will find some small comfort in knowing that the memory of their sons is being honoured by kind deeds.

Please join the Facebook event and buy three extra food items each time you shop for the period of the week that the boys family sit and mourn their loss.
